Manufacturing Process

Raw material collection
Raw Sal leaves are handpicked from Sal trees, commonly found in India and Southeast Asia. Leaves are typically collected in an environmentally sustainable manner.
Cleaning
The leaves are throroughly washed with water to remove dirt, dust and impurities.
Stitching or Pressing
- In traditional method the leaves are stitched together using fine bamboo sticks or natural fibers to form a plate.
- Modern methods involves pressing multiple leaves together in molds using a hydraulic or manual press machine to create uniform plates.
- This process ensures sturdiness and neat finish.
Drying
The stitched or pressed plates are sun- dried to remove moisture ensuring durability and preventing mold growth.
Quality check
Plates are checked for uniformity, shape and quality to ensure they are suitable for food usage.
Packaging
Finished plates are packed and bundled in eco friendly materials for distribution and sale.
